Andros Zins-Browne – The Host

How long can a human stand up to forces of nature that have turned against him? In his dance performance the American choreographer Andros Zins-Browne pits three cowboys – prototypes of masculinity and self-control – against an invincible landscape in order to explore this question. In traditional cowboy dress and with folkloristic choreography, Zins Browne recreates an absurd, comic struggle between one man and nature. This melancholy swan song to the American hero shifts from apocalypse to slapstick comedy and back again.
